Made it to Banff, Alberta this afternoon. Weather was cool, mid 60's, but it got cold whenever the sun ducked behind a cloud which was often. I'm set up in the campground outside of town. Don't know yet if I'll stay there one night or two. It's supposed to be nice tomorrow but rain is forecast for Thursday. I might head out of here later tomorrow, after some sightseeing, and spend a little time in Calgary ginving the Squaw Magnet the once over before heading out on the Alaska Highway. No shortage of great food in Banff and the cuban cigar store is right across the street. I'm posting this at an Internet Cafe' downtown. They're charging by the minute, though, so I'll make this quick. Bike's still running well, although, it's losing a little oil. Maybe I can find the leak and fix it when I get to Calgary. Today's ride was short, just 200 miles, but I saw deer, an elk, mountain goats, a moose with her baby, and a black bear along the way. Tough to beat the Canadian Rockies for scenery. That's it for now. Hope to be able to post when I get to Calgary.
