Left Medford, OR late this morning after the mechanic declared that the problem with the UHaul was that it was out of gas! Keep in mind that the gauge still showed 1/3 full. Also consider that it only took 26 gallons to fill up what I'm told is a 40 gallon tank. Nevertheless, with 14 gallons of gas in the tank, apparently the grade at the California border was so steep and so long that the pickup was sucking air. What a crock! At least I got to sleep in a bed for the first time in a month compliments of UHaul. Damn, it's good to be back home. Just waiting for the water heater to do its thing so I can take a shower and go to bed. Don't even want to think about getting the Squaw Magnet out of the UHaul until Monday.
