Here's the latest on the Squaw Magnet. Took the engine out and took it into Anchorage to Ground Up Customs. They used to be the Indian dealership. Three of the four rear cylinder studs were pulling out of the block. The piston was totally hammered, presumably from air getting in there and torching it. The rings were fried in place but appear to be all there. There was debris in the crankcase but, until the case is cracked, I won't know how much or from what. The head was fine and the jug was only slightly scratched. I still haven't decided whether to ship the bike home or have it fixed here in Anchorage. I talked to S&S and they are currently deciding whether or not they want to cover the cost of repair under their warranty. If so, I'll probably have the bike fixed here. If not, I probably will have it shipped home. Stay tuned.
